Easter 2025 - What to do in Paris
Categories : Lifestyle, published on : 4/17/25
Easter is a special time in Paris, with a variety of festive events taking place from April 19 to 21, 2025. If you’re looking for unique ways to celebrate this traditional holiday, the City of Light has plenty to offer!
Of course, the iconic element of the season is the Easter egg hunt — a beloved tradition throughout Paris. And once again this year, there are plenty of options to choose from!
For a truly original Easter activity, hop aboard for an egg hunt… on the Seine! On Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Vedettes du Pont Neuf will turn their boats into a floating playground, followed by a one-hour cruise along the river. A fun and tasty way to explore Paris from a different perspective, in a cheerful and festive atmosphere.
For a more classic experience on dry land, Paris also offers traditional egg hunts. The Paris Zoological Park (also known as the Zoo de Vincennes) welcomes families on Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21 for a large-scale Easter egg hunt. Alongside the hunt, visitors can enjoy games, creative activities, and a decorated egg contest — a fun-filled day surrounded by animals.
In a completely different setting, the whimsical village of Oeufoville will exceptionally open its doors to the public on April 20 and 21. Visitors can admire the unique collection of eggs from around the world, lovingly curated by local residents. There will also be egg-decorating workshops, a special exhibition, a chocolate stand, and of course — an egg hunt!
For those who wish to combine Easter fun with a spirit of giving, head to the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont on Sunday, April 20. The Secours Populaire will be hosting its annual solidarity egg hunt — a beloved Parisian tradition brought to life by over 200 volunteers. With a symbolic 8€ hunting pass, children can enjoy a playful and meaningful activity that supports a great cause. It’s a perfect blend of joy, community, and generosity.
Whether you choose to hunt eggs on the water, at the zoo, in a quirky village, or in the name of solidarity, Paris is bursting with ways to celebrate Easter as a family!
