Olympia Le Tan, fabulous bags for carrying fabulous books
Categories : Lifestyle, published on : 2/10/17
The first Parisian boutique of Olympia Le-Tan is already legendary. In a stylishly enthralling boutique consisting of 2 floors at the entrance to the Passage des Deux Pavillons, reaching to the gardens of the Palais Royal, the spirit remains that of an individualistic creator who wanted an all pink boutique that suggests, in the very best way, a doll's House. The daughter of Pierre Le-Tan, one of France’s most renowned illustrators, Olympia was born in London and raised in Paris, yet still embraces her Vietnamese ancestry. She is revered by the literature loving fashion elite as her passion for embroidery and literature has resulted in her reimagining classic book covers and transforming them into exquisite accessories, including bags and wraparound book pouches. From the delicate hand embroidery to the Liberty print cotton lining, all is finely wrought with a painstaking attention to detail. This shop will offer exclusives, the first being a minaudières collection inspired by the great classics of Walt Disney. Who says we have to turn the page on fairy tales? Olympia Le-Tan lives hers like an open book. JR.
