Summer in Paris !

The good weather is back in Paris, and we all crave a bit of greenery. What could be better than a stroll in a park? The City of Light offers a wide range of parks and gardens to escape for a day. Here are our suggestions!

Jardin des Plantes

Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, the Jardin des Plantes is a true journey into the world of plants. Here you will find medicinal plants, plants used for dyes, culinary herbs, and plants used in cosmetics and perfumery. Additionally, the official website of the Jardin des Plantes offers several themed tours and treasure hunts that will allow you to explore the vast variety of plants in the garden, such as the mountain species in the Alpine Garden, North American trees, and exotic Asian flowers.

Jardin du Luxembourg

In the heart of the 6th arrondissement, the Jardin du Luxembourg is a favorite park among Parisians and tourists. It is home to the current seat of the French Senate, the Luxembourg Palace. Here, you can enjoy nature while admiring the beautiful architecture. There is also a replica of the Statue of Liberty along one of the garden paths.

Jardin des Tuileries

Just steps from the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde, the Jardin des Tuileries is one of the must-see spots in the capital. Since 1991, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can admire beautiful statues and several ponds populated by ducks and fish.

Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

In the 19th arrondissement, a bit further from the most touristy areas, is one of the largest green spaces in Paris. The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is designed to replicate a mountain landscape. You can stroll among rocks, cliffs, waterfalls, and streams, almost feeling like you have left Paris!

Parc Monceau

Located in the 8th arrondissement, Parc Monceau is a peaceful haven in the heart of the city. Known for its romantic atmosphere and beautiful statues, this park is perfect for a leisurely walk or a picnic. Its bridges, Corinthian columns, and rotunda make it a unique and charming place.

Parc de la Villette

The Parc de la Villette, located in the 19th arrondissement, is a modern and innovative space offering a multitude of cultural and leisure activities. With its themed gardens, playgrounds, and vast lawns, it’s an ideal spot for the whole family. Don’t miss the Géode, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, and the many events and festivals held there throughout the year.

Parc André Citroën

In the 15th arrondissement, the Parc André Citroën is a contemporary space with themed gardens, greenhouses, and a large central lawn. You can also take a ride in a tethered balloon for a panoramic view of Paris. This park is perfect for those looking for a modern and relaxing spot.
